Good Friday morning. In a minute I’ll break down our new addition to the VRA Portfolio; Nvidia (NVDA), but first….it’s likely that the markets lows are in…for several important technical and fundamental reasons.

Technical Reason #1: ZBT Buy Signal

Yesterday’s trading produced a Zweig Breadth Thrust (ZBT) buy signal. What does this mean and why is it so important?  The ZBT, developed by Marty Zweig, is a time-tested momentum indicator. It signals a potential bull market when the 10-day moving average of advancing NYSE stocks divided by total issues rises from below 40% to above 61.5%...within 10 days. These signals are rare with high probability outcomes. 

Results of Previous ZBT’s. 

A ZBT was just triggered for only the 17th time in history (since 1950). The previous 16 times have resulted in an S&P 500 average gain of 16.35% after 6 months and 23.78% after 12 months. The S&P 500 has NEVER been lower after 6 months and 12 months following the a ZBT buy signal.
